Job summary

ShopRite of Old Bridge in New Jersey is seeking a Meat Cutter Clerk to join the Meat Department. You will cut meat and prepare related products, ensuring a visually appealing department and assisting customers with selections.

Daily tasks include following safety standards, maintaining sanitation, and working with various meat department equipment in a refrigerated environment. Ability to lift up to 90 lbs and stand for long periods is required.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak English.
• Able to perform basic math.
• Strong knowledge of safe food handling and safe work habits.
• Able to lift 35 lbs regularly and 80-90 lbs occasionally.
• Able to work in varying temperatures and in refrigerated areas.
• Able to operate Meat Department equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment.
• Sanitize surfaces, utensils and equipment per standards.
• Assist customers and answer questions about meat items.
• Cut and trim meat according to company standards.
• Rotate products and replace outdated items as needed.
• Follow all safety, QA, and regulatory requirements.
