Job summary

ShopRite of Linden, NJ is seeking a Meat Cutter Clerk to cut and prepare meat, maintain a clean and safe department, and assist customers with their selections. The role requires readiness to work in refrigerated spaces and to lift up to 90 lbs as part of daily duties.

Candidates must meet basic English, math, and food-handling requirements and comply with all safety, QA, and company policies. This is a hands-on position in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Fluent reading/writing/speaking English
• Basic math capability
• Strong knowledge of safe food handling
• Able to lift 35 lbs regularly, up to 80–90 lbs occasionally
• Able to work in varying temperatures and in a meat department environment

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, safe, organized work area in the Meat Department
• Cut and trim meat to company specifications
• Assist customers with selections and provide friendly service
• Follow QA and sanitation standards and rotate stock as needed
• Operate department equipment and comply with safety guidelines
