Job summary

ShopRite of Bound Brook is seeking a Meat Cutter Clerk to deliver exceptional service in the Meat Department. You will cut and trim meat to specification, assist customers in selecting products, and keep the department clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.

The role requires physical stamina to stand, lift 35 lbs regularly and up to 90 lbs occasionally, work in refrigerated environments, and operate meat department equipment.

Qualifications

• Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Able to perform basic math.
• Strong knowledge of safe food handling and work habits.
• Regularly lift 35 lbs. and occasionally 80–90 lbs.
• Work in varying temperatures; operate meat dept equipment.
• Interact with customers in a friendly, helpful manner.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, safe work environment in the Meat Department.
• Cut and trim meat to company standards; rotate products as needed.
• Assist customers with product selection and questions.
• Follow department procedures for receiving, dating, storing, and pricing.
• Adhere to safety, QA, and sanitation requirements and attend training.
