Job summary

ShopRite - Meat Cutter Clerk is responsible for cutting meat, trimming products, and maintaining a visually appealing department in the Woolwich, NJ store. You will assist customers and help them select meat items while adhering to safety and sanitation standards.

The role requires stamina to stand for long periods, ability to lift up to 80-90 lbs, and proficiency in safe food handling. Training is provided to ensure quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Strong knowledge of safe food handling and safe work habits.
• Physically able to stand, lift up to 80-90 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to interact with customers in a friendly, helpful way.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment.
• Cut and trim meat according to company specifications.
• Rotate products in meat cases and restock as needed.
• Follow sanitation procedures and QA standards.
• Handle damaged or spoiled products per policy.
• Communicate with customers to aid selections.
