Qualifications

• Experience in a meat department or commercial kitchen is a plus, but not required if you have the right attitude and a willingness to learn.
• Knife skills and comfortable working with sharp tools and heavy machinery.
• Able to stand for long periods in a refrigerated environment and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Detail oriented to ensure every cut looks professional and appetizing.
• Reliability: punctual and ready to support the team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cut, and trim beef, poultry, and pork to store standards and customer specifications.
• Maintain a clean, fully stocked meat case that showcases premium products.
• Act as an expert for shoppers—advising on cuts, cooking temperatures, and meal prep ideas.
• Follow food safety protocols (HACCP) and keep equipment like saws and grinders in top shape.
• Assist with receiving deliveries, check freshness, labeling and rotation.
