Job summary

Whole Foods Market currently seeks a Meat Cutter to join our team in the United States. You will cut, prepare, and merchandise meat products, ensure quality standards, and deliver friendly customer service in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires strong knife skills, knowledge of different cuts, and a commitment to health and safety. Training through our butcher program is preferred, with opportunities for growth and leadership within the department.

Qualifications

• 14+ months retail experience.
• Successfully completed WFM Butcher Apprentice Program, or an equivalent training program.
• Note: UK Exceptions may apply.

Responsibilities

• Cuts, platters, and merchandises products (beef, pork, lamb, veal, poultry).
• Prepares specialty meat merchandise (i.e. sausage, oven ready products, and cured meats).
• Checks product to ensure it meets WFM quality standards.
• Maintains sampling program and monitors spoilage.
• Mentors Meat Cutter Trainee(s).
• Provides excellent customer service and uses suggestive selling techniques.
