Job summary

Whole Foods Market seeks a Meat Cutter to cut, prepare, and display meat products while delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. You will ensure product quality, maintain cleanliness, and support trainees under supervision.

The role requires 14+ months retail experience and completion of the WFM Butcher Apprentice Program. Expect regular shifts, adherence to health and safety standards, and participation in training programs.

Qualifications

• 14+ months retail experience.
• Successfully completed WFM Butcher Apprentice Program, or an equivalent training program.

Responsibilities

• Cuts, platters, and merchandises products (beef, pork, lamb, veal, poultry).
• Prepares specialty meat merchandise (sausage, oven ready products, cured meats).
• Checks product to meet WFM quality standards.
• Maintains sampling program.
• Mentors and supports Meat Cutter Trainee(s).
• Provides excellent customer service and answers phones promptly.
• Maximizes sales through proper prepping, storing, and merchandising.
