Job summary

SpartanNash in Logansport, IN is seeking a Meat Cutter to join our team. You will cut, trim, bone, weigh steaks and chops, follow recipes and prep value-added products while maintaining safety and quality standards.

You will price and wrap products, stock displays, assist customers, and support store operations. A high school diploma or GED and 1 year of retail experience are preferred; prior meat cutting experience is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and interpret basic documents.
• Prior meat cutting experience is preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and department guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Cut and weigh steaks, chops, and related products.
• Prepare value-added products per guidelines.
• Cut, trim, and bone carcass sections to reduce to cooking cuts.
• Price, date, wrap and/or bag meat products per guidelines.
• Stock and merchandize shelves and displays.
• Notify manager when supplies need ordering.
