Job summary

SpartanNash is hiring a part-time Meat Cutter in Kalkaska, MI, responsible for cutting, trimming and preparing meat products according to standards. You will weigh, package, and label cuts, maintain clean, well-stocked displays, and assist with a friendly guest experience.

Requires a high school diploma or GED, 1 year retail or meat-related experience preferred, and ability to read and follow recipes and directions. No visa sponsorship available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required or preferred.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
• Detail oriented with basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Cut and weigh meats into various cuts for individual servings.
• Produce value-added products per established guidelines.
• Price, date, wrap and/or bag meat products per guidelines.
• Stock shelves and merchandise department displays.
• Follow PPE, safety, food safety and cleaning guidelines.
• Assist in other departments as needed.
