Job summary

SpartanNash in Caledonia, MI is seeking a Meat Cutter to join our grocery Meat Department. You will cut and weigh steaks, chops, and other cuts, following approved recipes and standards, and prepare value-added products.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and about one year of retail or meat cutting experience; prior Apprentice role preferred. You will stock displays, maintain a clean department, and follow safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year retail or related experience preferred.
• Meat Cutter/Apprentice experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cut and weigh steaks, chops, etc. for individual servings.
• Produce value-added products per established guidelines.
• Cut, trim, and bone carcass sections or prime cuts to cooking cuts.
• Price, date, wrap and/or bag meat products per guidelines and rotate stock.
• Follow PPE, Safety, and Food Safety guidelines; keep area clean and organized.
• Notify manager if products or supplies need to be ordered.
