Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Meat Cutter to join our meat department. You will assist Members, cut and prepare fresh and processed meats, and maintain display cases with precision. The role includes wrapping, labeling, and stocking duties while upholding safety and quality standards.

The position offers a 6-month apprenticeship to prepare Team Members for the Meat Cutter role, with opportunities for growth within a team-focused, member-first environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with fresh and processed meats preferred.
• Ability to wrap, grind, and label meat cuts.
• Knowledge of meat department safety and cleanliness standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist Members by answering questions regarding meat, poultry, and seafood.
• Cut, grind, wrap, weigh, and label meat and seafood products.
• Prepare special cuts of meat as ordered by Members.
• Ensure meat cases are stocked and rotated according to expiration dates.
• Clean and sanitize equipment, fixtures, and display areas in the meat department.
