Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club in Augusta, GA is offering a 6-month Meat Cutter apprentice role. You will weigh, wrap, label, and merchandise fresh meats, poultry, and seafood, while learning precise cutting techniques and safety standards in a busy club environment.

Applicants should have experience with fresh and processed meats; wrapping machines knowledge is a plus. This on-site role requires weekend availability and a strong commitment to customer service and food safety.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with fresh and processed meats preferred.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.
• Prior experience working in a meat and/or deli department preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Members by answering questions regarding meat, poultry and seafood.
• Cuts, grind, wrap, and label meat, poultry, and seafood.
• Prepare special cuts of meat ordered by Members.
• Rotate stock and dispose of damaged products per guidelines.
• Clean and sanitize equipment and display cases.
• Support other departments as needed.
