Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club, Inc. in New York seeks a Meat Department Team Member to receive, rotate, cut, wrap, and merchandize fresh and processed meats in accordance with company standards.

You will assist Members, prepare special cuts, maintain sanitation, and keep cases stocked while upholding GOLD standards and safety protocols. A meat-cutting apprenticeship and 18+ years old are required.

Qualifications

• Completion of a training program/apprenticeship required.
• Previous meat cutting experience required.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Engages members by making recommendations and answering questions about meat, poultry, and seafood.
• Prepares special cuts of meat ordered by Members.
• Weights, packages, wraps, and labels meat, poultry, and seafood.
• Maintains meat department inventory and cleanliness per standards.
