Job summary

Saver Group is seeking a Meat Cutter to uphold the meat department standards, drive sales, and ensure profitability by following the merchandising plan and preparing standard cuts of meat. You will deliver top-notch customer service and maintain product quality.

You will handle beef, pork and poultry items with care, while ensuring display appeal, proper cold chain, and strict sanitation in accordance with company policy.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Experience safely using manual pallet jacks, hand tools and power equipment, including but not limited to knives, wrappers, scales, slicers, cubing machine, and power saw preferred.
• Ability to regularly lift 50lbs.

Responsibilities

• Uses knives and power equipment, cuts and/or packages authorized beef, pork and poultry items according to the policies and procedures
• Prepares and places meat cuts and products in the display counter according to the procedures so they will appear attractive and appealing to the customers
• Receives, inspects, and stores meat upon delivery, to maintain cold chain and ensures meat quality.
• Ensures excellent sanitation and quality standards are met daily which adhere to Save A lot policy
