Job summary

Saver Group is seeking a Meat Cutter to manage the meat department, trim and prepare standard cuts, and ensure display quality and profitability. The role focuses on delivering high levels of customer service while adhering to merchandising plans and safety standards.

The Meat Cutter will maintain cold chain, supervise sanitation, and collaborate with the team to meet company guidelines and pricing strategies in a grocery setting.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Experience safely using manual pallet jacks, hand tools and power equipment, including but not limited to knives, wrappers, scales, slicers, cubing machine, and power saw preferred
• Ability to regularly lift 50lbs

Responsibilities

• Uses knives and power equipment, cuts and/or packages authorized beef, pork and poultry items according to the policies and procedures
• Prepares and places meat cuts and products in the display counter according to the procedures so they will appear attractive and appealing to the customers
• Receives, inspects, and stores meat upon delivery, to maintain cold chain and ensures meat quality.
• Ensures excellent sanitation and quality standards are met daily which adhere to Save A lot policy
