Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club, Inc. in Bel Air, MD is seeking a Meat Clerk to receive, rotate, wrap, and merchandise fresh and processed meats. You will assist Members, answer questions, and help keep the meat department clean and well-stocked.

The role requires prior meat/deli experience and familiarity with wrapping equipment. You’ll work in a team to ensure high standards and a positive member experience.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with fresh and processed meats preferred.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.
• Prior experience working in a meat and/or deli department preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance to Members by answering questions regarding meats, poultry, and seafood.
• Weighs, packages, wraps, and labels cuts of meat, poultry, and seafood, including grinds.
• Inspects and stores meat upon delivery and rotates products by expiry dates.
• Maintains all display cases clean and stocked; follows safety standards.
