Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club in Newark, DE is seeking a Meat Department Team Member to receive, rotate, wrap, and merchandise meats while assisting Members with questions and recommendations.

You’ll help with seafood, rotisserie, prepared foods, and cheeses, maintain safety standards, stock cases, and support club policies. We value reliability and teamwork and offer weekly pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in meat and deli departments preferred.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.
• You must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Assist Members by answering questions about meats, poultry, and seafood; make product recommendations.
• Weigh, package, wrap, and label cuts of meat, poultry and seafood; assist the meat cutter as needed.
• Inspects and stores meat upon delivery; ensures quality and safety standards are met.
• Stock and rotate meat, seafood, prepared foods, and cheese cases; manage expiration dates.
• Clean and sanitize equipment, fixtures, and areas in the meat department.
