Job summary

SpartanNash is seeking a Meat Department associate at our Madison location. This role prepares and packages meat, labels products, and maintains merchandising standards to support store profitability and guest satisfaction.

You will stock, rotate, and date meat items, coordinate with the Meat Manager on orders, and work with other departments to drive growth while following safety and PPE guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year of retail or related experience preferred.
• Must read, write and interpret documents.
• Basic mathematical skills required.
• Detail oriented and accurate.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and Produce Meat Products to Production Planner.
• Package and Label Meat Products per program plan.
• Merchandise Meat Products per Flight plan/Merchandising Expectations.
• Stock Backroom with Meat Products - Rotating and Dating Cases/Buckets.
• Notify the Meat Manager if products and supplies need to be ordered.
• Work as a team with other departments and Stores to achieve growth in our SpartanNash Retail stores.
• Understand basic functions of adding, subtracting, multiplying and division.
• Communicate tasks, recipes, weights and measures, and cleaning steps completed to other associates.
• Follow all PPE and Safety Guidelines.
• Follow all Food Safety and Cleaning Expectations.
• Follow Guest Experience Guidelines.
• May be assigned tasks in other departments based on customer experience need.
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
