Job summary

Northwest Michigan Community Action Agency, Inc. is seeking a Meals on Wheels Program Specialist to support the Senior Nutrition department in Cadillac.

You will handle client service, administrative tasks, and meal-related duties, including delivery and kitchen assistance, while helping with fundraising and community outreach. The role involves coordinating with the MOW Wexford/Missaukee counties, training site coordinators, maintaining records, and ensuring program compliance.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent required.
• Experience working with the public or with seniors preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to inquiries from home-delivered meal clients and manage intakes and changes with accurate records.
• Assist MOW Coordinator to support Congregate sites and ensure compliance during site visits.
• Prepare forms, templates, and greeting cards for clients and staff.
• Support fundraising, communications, and grant administration activities.
• Process payables and deposits for meals, donations, and SNAP payments as needed.
• Assist in kitchen with meal preparation and purchase food and supplies when needed.
• Serve as back-up driver and deliver meals with safety checks and empathy.
