MDS & PDPM Strategy Consultant

Job summary

PACS is seeking a qualified professional to oversee the facility's resident assessment process, ensuring all MDS assessments are completed on time and aligned with PDPM requirements.

You will coordinate interdisciplinary teams, monitor performance metrics, and provide ongoing training to MDS coordinators and nurses. This role demands strong analytical, regulatory knowledge, and leadership in a regional or corporate setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) or an equivalent Accredited Nursing Program Degree.
• MDS certification is preferred.
• Experience in clinical and management roles, preferably regional/corporate.
• Knowledge of CMS/OIG surveys and regulations.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight on facilities’ weekly PDPM meetings for skilled patients.
• Track and monitor PDPM tool utilization across buildings.
• Create clinical reporting systems between RDO and RDCS.
• Hold Regional MDS workshops monthly on PDPM and CMS regulations.
• Track QM and QASP performance with data analysis and recommendations.
• Assist in reviewing MDS/PDPM claims for accuracy and trends.
