Overview

The ideal MDS Candidate is detail-oriented, organized, self-motivated, and engaged in bedside resident assessments and family meetings. Knowledge of nursing, medical practices, laws, regulations, and guidelines relevant to long-term care is essential.

How You Will Make a Difference

• Complete MDS using medical records, bedside assessments, and interviews with staff, residents, and families.
• Participate in daily PPS meetings, weekly Medicare meetings, and monthly end-of-month meetings to ensure compliance with federal billing requirements. Review and update the Plan of Care quarterly and with each comprehensive assessment.
• Provide ongoing education on the RAI process to interdisciplinary team members, caregivers, and the business office, including updates and changes.

What You Need To Make a Difference

• Registered Nurse with current state licensure.
• Minimum three years of clinical experience, preferably in long-term care.
• Minimum one year of MDS experience.
