Hireology is seeking an MDS Coordinator to drive accurate assessments and regulatory compliance for our residents. The role emphasizes coordination across nursing, IT, and care planning to ensure effective care delivery and documentation.

The ideal candidate holds a nursing license with geriatric experience and a strong focus on detail, accuracy, and cross-department collaboration to support quality reporting and resident-centered care.

Qualifications

• Holds a current Nursing License.
• Experience in geriatric nursing and resident-centered care.
• Excellent assessment, documentation, and communication skills.
• Understands nursing home regulations and compliance requirements.
• Works well independently and in a team.
• Able to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate resident assessments (admission, annual, quarterly, Medicare, change-of-condition).
• Ensure regulatory compliance with Federal and State guidelines (MDS).
• Review MDS and care plan files for accuracy and thoroughness.
• Maintain expertise in MDS software for data entry and reporting.
• Lead interdisciplinary meetings (Medicaid, ITTM, care plan).
• Update and revise care plans based on assessments and resident status.
• Generate and distribute Quality Indicators Reports for leadership.
• Submit MDS data per reporting standards.
• Stay current with industry standards through professional development.
• Oversee ancillary data reporting to corporate billing.
