Job summary

Hireology is seeking an experienced MDS Coordinator to oversee resident assessments, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain accurate documentation. You will lead interdisciplinary meetings and update care plans to reflect current resident status.

Responsibilities include managing MDS data, reporting quality indicators to leadership, and staying current with industry standards. A nursing license and geriatric care experience are required to excel in this role.

Qualifications

• Current Nursing License in good standing.
• Experience in geriatric nursing and resident-centered care.
• Excellent assessment, documentation, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of nursing home regulations and compliance requirements.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Resident Assessments: Oversee admissions, annual, quarterly, Medicare, and change-of-condition assessments with timely communication with nursing and other departments.
• Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Follow Federal and State guidelines for comprehensive assessments (MDS).
• Monitor Documentation: Review MDS and care plan files for accuracy, thoroughness, and organization.
• Utilize MDS Software: Maintain expertise in software systems to ensure correct data entry and reporting.
• Lead Interdisciplinary Meetings: Attend and coordinate Medicaid, ITTM, and care plan meetings for smooth team communication.
• Update Care Plans: Adjust and revise care plans as needed based on current assessments and resident status.
• Provide Quality Reporting: Generate and distribute Quality Indicators Reports to leadership to support care improvement.
• Submit MDS Data: Ensure timely and accurate transmission of MDS assessments per reporting standards.
• Stay Current: Attend professional development sessions to keep up with industry standards and best practices.
• Oversee Ancillary Data: Collect and report ancillary services to corporate billing for accurate processing.
