Job summary

Baker Tilly US is seeking a Managing Director to lead and grow our Financial Advisory Services within the Office of the CFO Accounting Advisory practice. The role focuses on complex technical accounting matters and financial instruments for private equity clients, with strong US GAAP and IFRS expertise.

You will guide engagements, build senior client relationships, and drive profitable operations across the advisory portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting, business, finance or related field.
• CPA or CFA preferred.
• 15+ years of relevant experience in technical accounting advisory, Big 4 or top-tier consulting.
• Industry experience in private equity.
• Proven track record of leading complex engagements and managing senior client relationships.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and deliver high-impact solutions in fast paced environments.
• Attention to detail along with a commitment to quality and confidentiality.
• Ability to travel overnight as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Lead engagements from technical accounting support, and audit, transaction, and IPO readiness, to interim CFO support and enhanced financial operations.
• Positively impact clients’ financial statements, profitability, and business operations.
• Penetrate client engagements in the firm’s primary target industries.
• Proactively engage with clients to understand business goals and objectives.
• Provide valuable guidance and business recommendations.
• Deliver business insight through review, analysis, and discussion.
• Manage cross-functional teams to deliver engagements and ensure client profitability targets are met.
• Utilize entrepreneurial skills to network and build relationships to acquire new repeat sources, clients, projects, and revenue.
