Job summary

Baker Tilly US seeks an experienced Director to lead and expand the Financial Advisory Services within the Office of the CFO Accounting Advisory practice. You will advise CFOs on complex accounting, reporting, and transaction matters, drawing on deep U.S. GAAP, IFRS, and regulatory knowledge.

You will mentor teams, drive business development, and collaborate across tax, risk, and technology to deliver innovative solutions for clients nationally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting, business, finance or related field (Master’s preferred).
• CPA required; CFA or other relevant certifications a plus.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in accounting advisory, Big 4 or top-tier consulting.
• Proven track record leading complex engagements and managing senior client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior advisor to clients with deep technical accounting expertise.
• Lead advisory engagements on ASC 810, ASC 606, ASC 842, ASC 805, ASC 350/360, ASC 718 and complex instruments.
• Advise on policy development, restatements, and remediation of material weaknesses.
• Build strong CFO and Audit Committee relationships; drive thought leadership in evolving guidance.
• Collaborate with tax, risk, valuation, and technology teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
