Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Model Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) to help build a next-generation naval sensor system. You will architect, define requirements and drive verification with cross-disciplinary teams in a submarine program based in Manassas, VA.

The role emphasizes MBSE artifacts, traceability, and model-based engineering across software, hardware, and testing efforts, with potential for a government security clearance and mission-critical impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years developing system and subsystem requirements/specifications.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Cameo Systems Modeler.
• Strong SysML and MBSE experience.
• Experience with requirements traceability and architecture development.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain MBSE artifacts using Cameo Systems Modeler and SysML.
• Create and manage system and subsystem requirements, specifications, and traceability.
• Build models that connect behavior, structure, interfaces, and requirements.
• Develop Use Cases, Activity Diagrams, Requirements Diagrams, BDDs, and IBDs.
• Support the full Systems Engineering V-Model.
• Collaborate with software, hardware, integration, and test teams.
• Participate in design reviews including PDRs and CDRs.
