Job summary

Synectic Solutions, Inc. seeks a Journeyman MBSE Systems Engineer for the Model-Based Systems Engineering Division to support the F/A-18 programs at Patuxent River NAS in Lexington Park, MD. You will apply MBSE principles, perform system integration and analysis, and use Cameo tools to model architectures.

U.S. Citizen with TS/SCI clearance and a technical BS/BA are required; 2+ years of relevant experience preferred.

Qualifications

U.S. Citizen with Active TS/SCI Clearance.
Technical BS or BA degree.
Minimum of 2 years recent and relevant Systems Engineering experience with Model-Based Engineering.
Experience using MBSE Tools, such as Cameo System Modeler, Cameo EA, Teamwork Cloud, Cameo Collaborator.
Familiarity with interface definition practices and verification fundamentals.
Comfortable in a fast-moving, review-driven environment with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Applies engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, or evaluate military weapons systems.
Reviews and prepares engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation.
Applies systems engineering experience to perform functions such as system integration, configuration management, quality assurance testing, or acquisition and resource management.
Analyzes, designs, develops, implements, tests, or evaluates software, components, or systems related to engineering or functional requirements of military weapons systems, associated support systems, or management information systems.
Experience with MBSE practices.
Expertise in building and assessing systems engineering and architecture models using modeling methodologies to conduct technical assessments and recommendations.
Experience with systems engineering analyses and using results with other engineering models to optimize performance, schedule, costs, etc.
Experience with how system requirements, design, analysis, verification and validation activities are enabled by MBSE across the digital thread.
Requires experience with systems engineering and model-based methodologies, and models using UML/SysML/UAF.
