Job summary

Leidos Defense Systems seeks a highly motivated Systems Engineer to drive MBSE workflows and advanced modeling for DoD portfolios using Cameo Systems Modeler. You will bridge architecture, requirements, and verification across cross-functional teams.

You will lead design analyses, manage traceability, and develop parametric lifecycle models in scripting environments to quantify tradeoffs. Onsite in SCIF environments and travel assistance are expected.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or related STEM field with 4+ years of experience.
• Proficiency in MBSE methodologies and SysML-based tools (Cameo/MagicDraw).
• Experience capturing architecture and requirements with traceability.
• Strong communication and leadership of small technical teams.
• Scripting experience in VTL/Python/MATLAB for models and reports.
• Willingness to work onsite in a SCIF and travel 10–20% and U.S. Citizenship with active TS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead high-speed system architectures in Cameo/MagicDraw and maintain SysML views.
• Manage constrained-syntax requirements and traceability to verification artifacts.
• Develop parametric lifecycle models in Excel/Python/MATLAB to quantify design impacts.
• Lead cross-functional requirements and architecture working groups.
• Direct trade studies and executive-level briefs on lifecycle cost/benefit.
