Job summary

Arcfield is seeking an aspiring Systems Engineer to support submarine systems for the U.S. Navy, focusing on MBSE, SysML modeling, and digital engineering.

You will work with Cameo, Rhapsody, and other MBSE tools to define architectures, verify requirements, and improve processes in a collaborative team. Qualified candidates have a BS in Systems Engineering or related STEM field, 0–2 years of experience, and the ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• BS in Systems Engineering or related STEM field
• 0-2 years of systems engineering experience
• Basic understanding of SE and Digital Engineering concepts
• Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word
• Experience with Confluence, SharePoint, Teams
• Ability to quickly learn new software/tools
• Strong business acumen and teamwork
• Ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance
• Experience with MBSE tools and SysML/UML
• Experience with programming languages such as Groovy, Python, C++, Java
• Experience with Jira/Confluence/Bitbucket
• Knowledge of process improvement methods (CMMI)
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
• Experience with DoD submarine-related systems
• Knowledge of model-based systems engineering concepts

Responsibilities

• Use MBSE tools to define architectures and behaviors for Navy systems
• Identify and implement digital engineering solutions
• Support requirements development and performance tracking
• Develop system models using SysML and other tools
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align SE efforts
• Perform feature impact analyses and model updates
• Verify requirements and assess compliance for reviews
• Create and maintain model-generated documentation
• Contribute to continual SE process improvements
• Mentor others and share knowledge in a collaborative environment
