Job summary

Leidos Defense Systems is seeking a Digital Systems Engineer to blend Systems Engineering, Systems Architecture, and technical Project Management across the lifecycle. You will use MBSE to capture requirements, establish architecture, and ensure traceability while collaborating across multi-disciplinary teams.

The role requires active Top Secret clearance, a STEM master’s or equivalent, and experience with Cameo Systems Modeler and scripting (Velocity).

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret Clearance
• Master’s degree in aerospace engineering, systems engineering, or related STEM with 2+ years of experience; OR a bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of core systems engineering experience
• Experience in architectural system concepts, BDDs/IBDs, and MBSE in Cameo or No Magic tools
• Proven experience building template scripts (Apache Velocity) for automation in modeling environments
• Experience leading or coordinating engineering tasks and cross-functional teams
• Excellent oral communication with briefings, design reviews, or technical demonstrations
• U.S. Citizenship required; active Top Secret clearance

Responsibilities

• Lead MBSE model space to capture requirements and ensure traceability
• Lead multidisciplinary requirements and architecture working groups
• Develop and implement automated scripts in Cameo (VTL) for report automation and ICD generation
• Drive system integration by linking toolsets and data models across the lifecycle
• Perform risk identification and risk management modeling within architectures
• Troubleshoot templates and ensure data consistency across model repositories
• Collaborate across matrixed organizations
