Job summary

Leidos Defense Systems seeks a Digital Systems Engineer to blend Systems Engineering, MBSE, and project management across the lifecycle. You will guide requirements definition, architecture working groups, and system integration in a fast-moving environment.

This role requires strong collaboration across disciplines and a focus on model-based concepts, automated reporting, and traceability from requirements to verification.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance. US citizenship required.
• Master's degree in aerospace engineering or systems engineering with 2+ years of experience, or a bachelor’s with 4+ years of core systems engineering and systems architecture experience.
• Hands-on experience developing architectural system concepts, BDDS/IBDs, and model-based configurations in Cameo or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead MBSE conceptual model space to capture complex stakeholder requirements and establish end-to-end architecture and traceability.
• Lead multi-discipline requirements and architecture working groups to align engineering and project milestones.
• Develop and implement automated scripts using Velocity within Cameo to support report automation and ICD generation.
• Drive system integration by linking engineering toolsets and data models across the lifecycle to simulate programs and test digital ecosystems.
• Perform risk identification and risk management modeling within system architectures to establish standardized tracking.
• Troubleshoot, validate templates, and refine syntax to guarantee high-fidelity report creation and data consistency.
• Foster teamwork and collaboration across matrixed organizations.
