Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Western Territory Maui County seeks a Maui Recovery Project Manager to lead disaster response within the Emergency Disaster Services Department.

You will oversee the Maui Wildfire Relief Plan, manage communications, budgeting, inventory, site visits, volunteer placement and data reporting; coordinate mobile support and work with program partners to assist applicants.

A clean driving record is required, and bilingual applicants are encouraged.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; 3 years in social services may qualify.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to do fieldwork inVarious settings.
  • Disaster recovery experience preferred; computer proficiency required.
  • Bi-lingual applicants encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Maui Wildfire Relief Plan including communications, budgeting, reporting, inventory, distribution, site visits, volunteer placement and coordination with Maui County Coordinator and DHQ policy group.
  • Manage mobile support (canteens & service vans) for the program as needed.
  • Represent The Salvation Army in Maui recovery matters per mission and policies.
  • Attend VOAD, LTRG and community Maui recovery meetings.
  • Provide statistical data for the program in a timely manner.
  • Process notes and recovery paperwork within deadlines.
  • Assist and manage case managers with client information and progress reports.
  • Provide information and referrals to program participants.
