Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Western Territory in Maui is seeking a Maui Recovery Project Manager to oversee the wildfire relief plan, including coordination of resources, volunteers, and communications. Bachelors' preferred or 3 years in social services, with driving safety, budgeting, and reporting responsibilities. This is a full-time, non-exempt position contingent on funding.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred, but 3 years of social services experience qualifies.
• Clean driving record and successful completion of Decision Driving Safety Test before driving.
• Ability to do fieldwork in varied settings.
• Experience in disaster recovery is preferred and computer proficiency is required.
• Bi-lingual applicants are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of the Maui Wildfire Relief Plan, including communications, budgeting, reporting, inventory, and volunteer placement.
• Manage mobile support (canteens & service vans) for the program as needed.
• Represent The Salvation Army and its mission in all EDS/Maui Recovery matters.
• Attend VOAD, LTRG and community meetings related to Maui recovery.
• Provide statistical data in a timely manner.
• Process notes and recovery paperwork within deadlines.
• Assist and manage case managers with client information and progress reports.
• Provide information and referral to program participants.
• Perform other disaster-related duties as deemed by the supervisor.
