Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human services, Social Work, Education, or Psychology preferred.
• Three years of experience in social services with knowledge of local Maui resources.
• Clean driving record; pass the Decision Driving Safety Test before driving for The Salvation Army; recertify annually.
• Ability to do fieldwork in various settings; disaster recovery experience preferred; computer proficiency required.
• Bi-lingual applicants are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Represent The Salvation Army in accordance with its mission, policies, and procedures in all EDS/Maui Recovery matters.
• Qualify and determine client eligibility for assistance, including screenings, processing applications, and following up by phone.
• Respond to client inquiries for emergency materials and financial assistance.
• Participate in off-site community outreach events and client meetings to conduct screenings and promote emergency services.
