Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Specialist, Content Developer (Mathematics) to develop K-12 assessments for state and district clients. The role blends content expertise with assessment development on the Asset Creation team, including AI-enabled content creation and collaboration with educators and partners.

Responsibilities span item development, specifications, and leveraging AI to enhance accuracy and accessibility.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in education or equivalent required.
Five years’ experience as an elementary or secondary teacher in the field of content-specific area preferred.
Professional knowledge of content-specific area and educational trends required.
Experience with AI-supported content development or strong potential to leverage AI in content creation.
Experience or familiarity with prompting, refining, and evaluating AI-generated content for education purposes.

Responsibilities

Develop and review content-specific test items across multiple grade levels for large-scale assessments.
Help develop item, passage, and test specifications and blueprints.
Leverage AI-powered tools to support content development and ensure quality and accessibility standards.
Collaborate with team members to integrate AI-generated assets in assessment workflows.
Facilitate customer meetings and provide content assessment expertise.
