Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Specialist, Content Developer (Mathematics) to join the Asset Creation team, developing K-12 assessments for state and district clients across the United States.

As a content and assessment expert, you will leverage AI-powered tools, collaborate with educators, and help design item specifications while ensuring accessibility and quality.

You will work with colleagues in test development and Pearson groups to stay current with AI technologies and emerging educational trends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education or related field required.
• Five years’ teaching experience in elementary or secondary content area preferred.
• Strong knowledge of educational trends and standards-based content.
• Experience with AI-supported content development and evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review test items across grade levels for large-scale assessments.
• Develop item specifications, blueprints, and other documents.
• Leverage AI-powered tools to ensure quality and accessibility.
• Integrate AI-generated assets into assessment workflows.
• Select and train item writers and educators for item development.
• Support customer meetings with content assessment expertise.
• Contribute to test construction and review of test forms.
• Collaborate with Pearson teams including psychometricians.
