Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Specialist, Content Developer (Mathematics) to join the Asset Creation team. You will work as a content and assessment expert to develop K-12 assessments for state and district clients across the United States.

You will leverage AI-powered tools to create, review, and enhance content, collaborate with educators and Pearson groups, and help manage writers and reviewers. Salary ranges reflect state-specific laws and geography.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education or equivalent experience required.
• Five years’ elementary or secondary teaching in a content-specific area preferred.
• Demonstrated excellence in AI-supported content development or readiness to leverage AI.
• Experience or familiarity with prompting, refining, and evaluating AI-generated content for education.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review content-specific test items across grade levels for large-scale assessments.
• Help develop item specifications, test blueprints, and ancillary documents.
• Leverage AI-powered tools to support assessment content and accessibility standards.
• Collaborate with team to integrate AI assets in assessment workflows.
• Select, train, and manage item/passage writers and educators.
• Facilitate customer meetings and provide content assessment expertise.
• Support test construction and review of test forms.
• Consult with customers in planning and status reviews.
• Work with psychometricians and Pearson groups; stay current with AI tech.
