Job summary
Math Corps, powered by Ampact, is hiring a Math Tutor to work with students in local schools in the Minneapolis area. You’ll run tutoring groups of up to 3 students for 20–30 minutes each day, following a set schedule and returning students to class on time.
We provide training and coaching to help you grow, and AmeriCorps members receive a biweekly paycheck with opportunities for education awards. If you’re 18+ with a high school diploma, this is a meaningful way to help kids build math skills
Qualifications
- Must be fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing.
- 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States.
- Ability to successfully complete a background check.
Responsibilities
- Be a caring adult focused on helping children thrive.
- Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to ensure students receive support.
- Track student progress and meet regularly with the school's on-site coach.
- Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores in data software.
- Commit to your own growth through coaching and training.
- Share your experience with the community.
