Job summary

Math Corps, powered by Ampact, is seeking a Math Tutor to support students at a local Minnesota school. You’ll run small, focused tutoring sessions, track progress, and work with an on-site coach to challenge every student. No math genius required—training is provided to ensure success.

Hours are 35 per week with daytime, school-aligned schedules; part-time options exist at 25 and 15 hours per week. AmeriCorps benefits include health insurance and student loan support.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing.
• Able to follow instructions and accept feedback to improve.
• Proficient with basic computer skills (email, online navigation).
• Dependable with a history of good attendance.
• Must be 18+ with HS diploma or equivalent.
• Able to complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult focused on helping students thrive.
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to ensure students receive support.
• Track student progress and meet regularly with the onsite coach.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores into data software.
• Commit to your own growth through coaching and training.
• Share your experience with the community.
