Job summary

Ampact’s Math Corps is seeking a Math Tutor to work at local schools, guiding students through math practice in 20–30 minute groups, with coaching and training provided.

You will see groups of up to 3 students, with a schedule that supports 35 hours per week full-time or 25 hours per week part-time, Monday–Friday, no weekends. AmeriCorps stipend paid biweekly helps support your service and growth.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing.
• Dependable with a history of good attendance.
• Proficient with basic computer skills (email and navigating online).
• Able to follow instructions and improve based on feedback.
• 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States.
• Able to successfully complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult who's focused on helping children thrive
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to ensure students receive support
• Track student progress and meet regularly with the school's on-site coach
• Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores in data software
• Commit to your own growth through coaching and training
• Share your experience with the community
