Job summary

Ampact is seeking Math Tutor for Math Corps to support students with algebraic and arithmetic skills at a local school in Stockton, CA. Training will be provided to deliver proven activities and coach students through structured 20–30 minute sessions in groups of up to three.

Hours align with school schedules; part-time roles are available, with opportunities for longer engagement. AmeriCorps stipends and education awards accompany the position.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English for speaking, reading and writing.
• Must be 18+ with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to successfully complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult focused on helping children thrive.
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to ensure students receive support.
• Track student progress and meet regularly with the school's on-site coach.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores in data software.
• Commit to your own growth through coaching and training.
• Share your experience with the community.
