The role supports the Assistant Principal for Student Services and the Assistant Activity Director, guiding students in club operations and ensuring compliance with district policies.

The sponsor will train officers, approve candidates, coordinate with school leadership, and attend meetings and events as required.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising student organizations and elections.
• Ability to certify election results and approve candidates for club office.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with staff and community.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, in writing and speech.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical operations and apply concepts as needed.
• Willingness to stay current with technology-related tasks in a school setting.
• Ability to operate within school district requirements and policies.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all elections and certify results to the APSS.
• Approve all candidates for each club office before elections.
• Train officers and members in handling their offices and operations.
• Submit constitutions or charters to the APSS when organized.
• Approve club announcements, meetings, activities, and materials.
• Be present at meetings, social events, and fundraisers.
• Maintain annual inventory of equipment and supplies.
• Complete forms and reports per the Student Activities Handbook.
• Consult with the APSS for smooth club functioning.
• Represent club/activity at Event Night and Booster Night as needed.
• Ensure representation at Presidents Council Meetings.
• Coordinate with APSS and Activity Director to access Skyward accounts.
