Job summary

Hackensack Public Schools seeks a Teacher Leader in Mathematics for Grades 5–8 at Hackensack Middle School for the 2026–2027 school year. This is a Title II, Part A-funded supplemental leadership assignment with a 60-hour allocation to support data conversations, PLCs, and professional learning.

The role reports to the 5-12 Mathematics Supervisor and involves planning outside regular hours, data analysis, and collaborative planning to strengthen district MTSS practices and instructional

Qualifications

• Currently employed as a teacher in Hackensack Public Schools with a valid NJ instructional certificate.
• Deep knowledge of NJ Student Learning Standards and MTSS.
• Ability to analyze achievement data and guide instructional next steps.
• Experience leading PLCs and collaborative planning.
• Commitment to professional growth and district initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead structured data conversations using district-established protocols.
• Facilitate PLCs and collaborative planning across buildings/grades.
• Support MTSS implementation through professional learning.
• Prepare agendas, protocols, and materials for professional sessions.
• Maintain time records and documentation of planning activities.
