Job summary

Pioneer Valley Performing Arts seeks a Math Intervention Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year to co‑teach Middle and/or HS math classes, deliver intervention mini-lessons, and analyze data to support student progress. Collaboration with colleagues and families is essential, with emphasis on restorative practices and arts integration.

The role requires a BA, background check, and MA MTEL eligibility within a year; SEI endorsement is preferred.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience teaching high school math or math tutoring.
• Eligible for “Highly Qualified” teacher status (MA Certified or able to pass MTEL within 1 year).
• SEI endorsement preferred.
• Experience with high school students.
• Knowledge of discipline curriculum standards.
• Interest or experience in the arts.

Responsibilities

• Provide math intervention mini-lessons and ongoing assessment to targeted students.
• Provide updated math data to grade level teams and the math department and participate in decisions about student progress.
• Support and training of math teachers to modify lessons and use data to inform instruction.
• Support math during student study blocks by reteaching and helping students revise assignments.
• Collaborate with teachers, administration, and families to identify best practices for individual and small groups of students.
• Attend and participate in meetings with students and/or parents as scheduled.
• Participate in professional development workshops.
• Supervise students during non-class times as required.
• Participate in school wide events.
