Job summary

Providence-Englewood-School-Corp is seeking a Math Interventionist to support Kindergarten through 8th grade students who need targeted math assistance. You will provide small-group and individual instruction, guided by data, to close gaps and strengthen foundational skills.

Collaborating with teachers, the MTSS Coordinator, and school leadership, you will plan interventions, monitor progress, and adjust strategies to drive measurable growth in mathematics within a supportive learning

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Education, Mathematics, or a related field.
Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with endorsement preferred.
Experience teaching mathematics at elementary or middle school level.
Experience with small-group instruction or differentiated interventions.
Knowledge of MTSS framework and Tier 2/3 interventions.
Ability to use student assessment data to guide instruction.

Responsibilities

Assess and screen students to identify specific areas of need in mathematics.
Collaborate with classroom teachers and MTSS Coordinator to identify students needing additional math support.
Provide targeted, intensive math instruction to students individually or in small groups (Tier 2/3).
Develop and implement individualized math intervention plans based on assessments and learning styles.
Use assessment data to plan instruction and monitor student progress.
Maintain accurate records of interventions and progress.
Review progress and adjust interventions to improve outcomes.
Observe students to inform support opportunities and align with curriculum.
