Job summary

Pioneer Valley Performing Arts Charter Public School in South Hadley, MA is seeking a Math Intervention Teacher for the remainder of the 2026-2027 school year. The role involves co-teaching Middle and/or HS Math and providing targeted intervention, using data to guide instruction and collaborating with students, families and colleagues.

Qualifications

• BA degree and able to pass CORI/SORI and fingerprinting.
• Two or more years of high school math teaching or tutoring, preferably Algebra 1, Geometry and Algebra 2.
• Eligible for MA Teaching Certification (Highly Qualified) or MTEL within 1 year.
• SEI endorsement preferred and beneficial.
• Interest in arts integration and restorative practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide math intervention mini-lessons and ongoing assessment to targeted students.
• Share updated math data with grade level teams and department to guide progress decisions.
• Support and train math teachers to modify lessons based on data.
• Assist during student study blocks with reteaching and revision guidance.
• Collaborate with teachers, administration and families to identify best practices.
• Attend meetings with students and/or parents as scheduled.
• Participate in professional development workshops.
• Supervise students during non-class times as required.
• Participate in school-wide events.
