Job summary

Swampscott High School is seeking a Math Interventionist (.6 FTE) to provide targeted small-group support to students struggling with math. The role focuses on remediation, acceleration, and data-driven instruction within the high school math department.

You will collaborate with the regular math teachers, communicate with families, and maintain accurate attendance and progress data while upholding CORI and fingerprint background checks for district staff.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to thoroughly understand and teach high school math through Pre-Calculus.
• Strong technology proficiency with learning platforms and data tools.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Small-Group Instruction: deliver targeted skill-development activities to 2–4 students per group.
• Just-In-Time Remediation: design remediation units aligned with current high school math courses.
• Progress & Data Management: track attendance and formative data to measure growth and adjust strategies.
• Collaboration: communicate with math teachers, leadership, and families to align goals.
• Professional Reliability: maintain punctuality and consistent presence for all scheduled hours.
