Job summary

Terracon is seeking a Field Technician in Texas to perform field and laboratory testing on soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel. You will communicate results to the Project Manager, transport samples, and prepare daily reports.

You’ll maintain equipment and support scheduling, all while adhering to strict safety standards. Qualifications include a high school diploma, 6 months of experience, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 6 months experience required.
• A valid driver’s license may be required.
• Must obtain ACI certification within 90 days of hire.
• Must obtain Nuclear Density Gauge certification within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Under close supervision, assist on tasks and perform basic testing and observations duties.
• Communicate findings clearly to Project Manager and discuss data accuracy.
• Prepare and submit data and observations in written and digital reports for daily transmittal.
• Maintain and clean equipment, vehicles and work areas.
• Assist with scheduling and dispatch of Technicians to project sites.
• Follow safety rules and practices for all projects and perform pre-task planning.
• Maintain quality standards on all projects.
