Job summary

Terracon Consultants, Inc. is seeking a field technician to perform field and laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials such as soils, aggregates, concrete, and steel.

You will communicate with project managers and client representatives, transport samples, and submit data and observations to the Terracon Project Manager daily. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, 6 months of experience, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 6 months of experience required.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history.

Responsibilities

• Assist on tasks and perform basic testing and observations under supervision.
• Document findings clearly for project records.
• Communicate data with Project Manager and discuss accuracy of data for submittal.
• Submit documentation and communicate results as directed by the Project Manager.
• Maintain and operate assigned equipment and vehicles.
• Drive a vehicle such as a Ford F-150 or equivalent.
• Follow safety rules and perform pre-task planning before work.
• Maintain quality standards on all projects.
