Job summary

Terracon in Houston is seeking a field/lab technician to perform testing, observation, and inspection of soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel at construction sites. You will transport samples, document results, and support the Project Manager with daily data submissions.

Under supervision, you will learn testing tasks, maintain equipment, follow safety rules, and help schedule technicians while ensuring quality standards across projects.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A valid driver's license with acceptable violation history may be required.

Responsibilities

• Under close supervision, learn and assist with basic testing and observations duties.
• Provide clear documentation of findings and results.
• Communicate information to the Project Manager and discuss data accuracy for submittal.
• Submit documentation and communicate results as directed by the Project Manager.
• Maintain assigned equipment.
• Follow safety rules and report any safety issues to management.
• Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects.
